The Sundara Kanda is one of the most important sections of the Ramayana, written by Sage Valmiki. The word Sundara means "beautiful," and this section is called Sundara Kanda because it highlights the beauty of Hanuman’s devotion, courage, intelligence, and strength.

This part of the story represents the search for truth and righteousness in a world filled with distractions and evil.

3. Hanuman’s Meeting with Sita

Hanuman approaches Sita respectfully and gives her Rama’s ring as proof of his identity. He speaks words of comfort and reassures her that Rama will soon rescue her. Sita, though happy to hear news of Rama, refuses to go with Hanuman, as she wants Rama himself to come and defeat Ravana. This episode highlights Sita’s purity, patience, and unwavering devotion to Rama.

4. Hanuman’s Strength and Destruction of Lanka

Before leaving Lanka, Hanuman decides to test the strength of Ravana’s army. He destroys Ashoka Vatika, kills many demons, and sets Lanka on fire with his burning tail. This act symbolizes the victory of good over evil and warns Ravana of his upcoming downfall.

5. Hanuman’s Return to Rama

After completing his mission, Hanuman returns to Rama and gives him Sita’s message. His success fills Rama and his army with renewed energy and hope. This part of the story emphasizes the importance of devotion and selfless service in fulfilling divine purposes.
