**Children’s Day Speech**

Good morning to all the respected teachers, principals, and my dear friends!

Today, we are gathered here to celebrate a very special occasion — **Children's Day**, which is celebrated on November 14th every year. This day marks the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister, **Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru**, who was fondly called **Chacha Nehru** by children. Chacha Nehru loved children deeply and believed that they are the future of the nation. He worked tirelessly for their welfare and for providing them with the best education and opportunities.

Children’s Day is not just about celebrations but also about remembering the importance of children in our society. It is a day to reflect on their rights, needs, and the importance of giving them a nurturing environment. Pandit Nehru once said, *“The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country.”* This is a reminder for all of us to give our children the care, love, and guidance they deserve.

On this day, we also recognize the immense talent, creativity, and potential within every child. Children are the foundation of our future, and they have the power to achieve great things. Whether it’s in the field of science, art, sports, or any other area, children have limitless possibilities. As responsible individuals, it is our duty to support and nurture their growth, to help them discover their talents and guide them towards success.

Dhwani Theory by Anandvardhana: an introduction

Anandvardhana was a Kashmiri court poet and literary critic, honored with the title of Rajanak during King Avantivarman's reign.  Anandavardhana authored the Dhvanyāloka , or A Light on Suggestion (dhwani), a work articulating the philosophy of "aesthetic suggestion" (dhwani, vyañjanā). Anandavardhana is credited with creating the dhwani theory. He wrote that dhwani (meaning sound, or evocation) is the "soul" or "essence" (ātman) of poetry (kavya).  Anandavardhana said, "When the poet writes, he creates a eloquent field of emotions."
